Fallout: New Vegas Writer Is Back At Obsidian, But Don't Get Your Hopes Up

John Gonzalez, the lead writer of Fallout: New Vegas, has returned to Obsidian Entertainment as a creative director. Despite speculation surrounding a possible New Vegas 2, Gonzalez clarified on his LinkedIn that this is not the case. He is also known for his work as narrative director for Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West. Currently, Obsidian has two announced projects: The Outer Worlds 2 and Avowed, with Avowed set to release on February 18, 2025 and The Outer Worlds 2 sometime in 2025.
