Epic Games Store will add monthly free games, 20 third-party titles to mobile app
Briefly

Epic Games Store plans to adapt to Apple's Core Technology Fee, which imposes a 50 cent charge per download for third-party apps after 1 million downloads. To address the fee, Epic will introduce 20 third-party titles to its mobile store in the EU, where the fees are applicable. Additionally, Epic will cover these fees for the first year and offer free games each month. The strategy aims to enhance competition in gaming and make Epic's platform more attractive to developers, overcoming limitations imposed by major store operators like Apple and Google.
Epic Games Store will soon charge through Apple's efforts to mitigate the downloading of apps from third-party marketplaces to iOS and iPadOS - namely, Apple's Core Technology Fee.
Epic will add 20 third-party titles to its mobile store in the European Union, the region impacted by the fee policy, and it'll pay the fees in full for one year.
Epic's statements in a Thursday press briefing argued "many mobile game developers aren't on its store because Apple and Google discourage them with restrictions and fees."
Epic's statements do, however, insinuate that the third-party games will be available to mobile app users in any region where the mobile app exists.
