The Glider can be activated if you're jumping, falling, or are in mid-air. Simply press and hold the spacebar (keyboard) or "A" button (Xbox gamepad).
Lastly, it's possible to activate the Glider while doing a normal jump, only to trigger the roll animation. You can use this mechanic to climb up steep inclines.
