Electronic Arts has been quite open about development for this title, stating, "We're still in the development stages of skate. and are bringing insiders like you into the game much sooner than is the norm in our industry." This highlights their commitment to community feedback early in the development process.
The new Skate game was confirmed in 2020 and is being developed by a newly created studio called Full Circle. The last release in the series was in 2010, so this marks a significant return.
