'Donkey Kong Bananza' Finally Solved Nintendo's Co-Op Problem
Briefly

Donkey Kong Bananza marks the return of Nintendo's iconic mascot and introduces a compelling co-op mode featuring Pauline. Players can join as Pauline, who controls a cursor capable of launching attacks that affect terrain and enemies. The co-op gameplay fosters interaction between players, as they must communicate effectively. This mode shines particularly during boss encounters, allowing players to utilize Pauline's ability to copy materials and enhance their attacks. The game promises a variety of levels and experiences, making it a significant addition to the Switch 2 lineup.
In Donkey Kong Bananza, a second player can control a cursor and shoot attacks that deform terrain and harm enemies.
During my demo, a Nintendo representative played Donkey Kong as I assumed the role of Pauline. As he explored the level, I kept a keen eye out for hard materials.
This co-op mode proved to be at its best when we encountered a boss fight.
Copying a material in the environment grants you eight shots to fire, so that's a lot of chances to mess with the world around you.
