Jason Blundell, a veteran from the Call of Duty franchise, has announced his new venture, Dark Outlaw Games, a studio under PlayStation Studios. This follows his previous partnership with Sony through Deviation Games, which unfortunately ended without releasing a game. Blundell expressed his gratitude for the honor of being a first-party studio and confirmed that the team has been developing in secrecy. As a key figure behind the Zombies mode in Call of Duty, expectations are set for what new projects might emerge from his latest endeavor.
Blundell expressed his excitement: "It's such a privilege to be the newest first-party PlayStation studio. Sony doesn't start up first-party studios all the time, so to have that privilege is humbling."
He mentioned that they have been working quietly: "We've been working away in the shadows for a while. When we've got something to talk about we'll step out into the light."
