BioShock 4 is still underway despite internal setbacks and changes in leadership at Cloud Chamber. Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, stated definitively that the game will not be canceled and emphasized the importance of maintaining the series' legacy while innovating. Additionally, 2K Games has addressed a canceled remake of the original BioShock and referred to BioShock 4 as a "good game." Meanwhile, Ken Levine’s upcoming game, Judas, is also in development but lacks a release date.
"It's going to come out," Zelnick told IGN. "That I can say hand on heart, without question ... We don't talk about how long our development cycles are. We have had some ups and downs along the way."
Zelnick emphasized that they need to ensure BioShock 4 honors the legacy of Ken Levine while also taking a "massive step forward" in its development.
