Big Publishers And Studios Are Scrambling To Avoid GTA 6's Launch
Briefly

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch in fall on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, anticipated to be one of the largest game releases ever. In light of this, several game publishers are reportedly constructing plans to steer clear of competing with Rockstar's flagship title. Executives have expressed significant concern about finding opportunities for their games to succeed amidst the overwhelming presence of GTA 6. They are considering launching either well ahead of or after the GTA arrival to avoid the fierce competition during the busy gaming season.
We don't want to be anywhere near [GTA 6]. We are working up multiple different plans for our titles.
It's immensely difficult to find free time for new games to shine, and that free time is the real scarcity for us, not money.
We don't want to launch just before or just after the game. If it arrives in late October, that means you either have to launch early.
There may be some things happening in the year that may cause us to think differently about our launch strategies.
