ZeniMax Workers United has overwhelmingly voted to authorize a strike against Microsoft after more than two years of unsuccessful contract negotiations. The union, formed in 2023, is pushing for better wages, workplace improvements, and solutions to issues such as limited remote work options and the shift of jobs to outsourced labor. Previous actions, including a one-day strike in November, highlighted dissatisfaction with the company's responses at the bargaining table. Although the strike vote does not immediately lead to a strike, it equips the union with the power to call one if negotiations stagnate further.
No one wants to stroll into a corporate office every day knowing their hard work is treated like a commodity, with Microsoft refusing to give the bare minimum.
