Two former Google and YouTube content executives launched Artie to connect creators with cash and back-office infrastructure ahead of the Sundance Film Festival. Matt McDonald will serve as CEO and Derek Scobie as CCO. Artie connects creators with brands and capital partners to fund development and productions for native platforms while avoiding traditional distributors. The model aims to provide scalable capital without forcing creators to surrender ownership or control.
