As a product designer in startups, I focused on building a structured design approach that facilitates both immediate tasks and long-term vision. I developed an internal solution to manage production status, planned efforts, multi-version elements, and updates. A key strategy included integrating design tools with a ticketing system to ensure all design changes were documented and aligned with development. The rule of never modifying designs without a corresponding ticket effectively mitigated confusion and streamlined workflows, consolidating all updates and maintaining synchronization with the development process.
This approach effectively ended the 'tiny tweaks' I used to make on the fly and consolidated everything into the same pipeline.
By establishing a rule that no design would be created without a ticket, I created a system that avoided miscommunication and ensured clarity in updates.
