The recent update of the Nord Design System to version 4.0 has successfully consolidated Nordhealth's two design platforms into one comprehensive system. This major enhancement aims to reinforce the design infrastructure and facilitate the development of next-generation applications and generative AI projects across different teams. The update introduces two new brands—therapy and veterinary—allowing tailored content for different business units. Additionally, the architecture has been improved while ensuring backward compatibility, alongside enhanced usability of the documentation platform.

The latest 4.0 version launched a few weeks ago now unifies Nordhealth's two design system platforms into a single platform that can serve all of the feature teams.
