As a product designer with limited resources, I chose to participate in user tests rather than conducting my own. By taking part in over 300 tests, especially during the constraints of COVID, I've been able to observe a variety of methodologies, gather insights, and spot trends in user experience design. This unique approach not only broadened my understanding of user research processes but also provided me with practical insights applicable to my own work as a designer. Now, five years in, I'm eager to share what I've learned with the design community.
Participating as a testee in over 300 user tests not only allowed me to learn from diverse methodologies but also to analyze trends in the field.
Joining as a participant in user tests opened my eyes to the effective strategies different design teams employ in their research processes.
