classrooms integrate pocket parks in quzhou no.6 experimental school by LYCS architecture
Briefly

LYCS Architecture designed Quzhou No.6 Experimental School with a focus on flexibility and interaction to meet modern educational demands. Spanning 67,500 sqm, the campus merges primary and middle school facilities and employs a unique spatial concept dubbed the 'Tree of Growth,' organizing spaces into teaching, transitional, and innovation zones. This approach creates layered environments that foster informal interactions and transitions, while a main 'campus street' circulates through key areas, promoting community engagement within the school setting.
The design challenges traditional school layouts by prioritizing open, adaptable spaces that facilitate interaction and support contemporary educational needs, moving beyond static classroom instruction.
LYCS Architecture's 'Tree of Growth' concept organizes the campus into teaching spaces, transitional areas, and innovation spaces, reflecting a layered approach to learning.
