AL House / Tagua Arquitetura
Briefly

The AL house, designed by architects Thiago Benedetti Brugnolo and Mariana Rotta, focuses on merging privacy, functionality, and comfort within its 450 m² footprint. Social areas are strategically positioned at the center to foster family togetherness and maximize natural light. A key design feature includes a light-filled entrance hall directing flow toward intimate bedrooms and communal spaces. Privacy is enhanced by a designated service block, while the exterior showcases a blend of concrete and wood-like materials for aesthetic and thermal comfort. The design reflects a careful balance between openness and seclusion.
From the beginning, our intention was to ensure fluid circulation, while at the same time preserving moments of intimacy, with solutions that value both socializing and seclusion.
We worked with the balance between the solidity of the concrete and the softness of the wood, both to reinforce the identity of the house and to create more welcoming and human atmospheres.
