A generative AI tool to inspire creative workers | MIT Sloan
Briefly

"For each of a number of diverse verbal descriptions, DesignAID can almost instantly generate an image - and it's often far better developed and polished than what an artist or designer could do with a quick sketch," said paper co-author Thomas W. Malone, a professor of information technology at MIT Sloan and the director of the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence.
"Design fixation, the tendency for designers to rely on familiar patterns and solutions, can limit creativity in the design process. However, researchers from MIT, Harvard, and the Toyota Research Institute have found that generative AI tools can assist designers in coming up with new ideas by rapidly generating images based on text prompts."
