A report by The Atlantic revealed that Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief, accidentally received sensitive war plans via a Signal group chat involving Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. This breach raises questions about national security and operational protocols under the Trump administration, with conservatives criticizing the mishap. Online discussions highlighted serious concerns about the incompetence demonstrated in sharing classified information, especially on an unsecured platform. Critics pointed out that such breaches could have severe implications and emphasized the need for stricter adherence to operational security practices.
