Massie asserted Lutnick attended Epstein's island, conducted business with him, and lied about those ties. Massie argued resignation would relieve pressure on President Trump and compared U.S. response unfavorably to British resignations and penalties. The Commerce Department stated Lutnick’s interactions were limited, occurred with his wife present, and that he has not been accused of wrongdoing.
