Right-wing doxing campaigns targeted college faculty and staff after Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during an event at Utah Valley University. Thirty-seven faculty and staff were identified as being harassed online; at least 24 have been terminated, suspended, or placed on administrative leave, including employees at Auburn University, Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell, and Coastal Carolina University. Most targets were first identified on X, Facebook, or other social media; anonymous accounts then broadcast names, employers, photos, and contact information with calls for firing. A group calling itself the Charlie Kirk Data Foundation solicited names and screenshots and claimed more than 63,000 unique names. Targets range from inflammatory posts to mild criticism, raising legal and free-speech concerns.
