Cuban cautioned that retailers might elevate prices while attributing increases to tariffs, even on domestically produced goods. Trump declared that these tariffs, starting at 10%, would lead to a rebirth of American industry. Economists agree that while some costs may be absorbed by companies, consumers are likely to face higher prices, which could worsen if panic buying occurs, potentially straining supply chains.
It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory.
Even if it's made in the USA, they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.
April 2, 2025, will forever be remembered as the day American industry was reborn, the day America's destiny was reclaimed, and the day that we began to make America wealthy again.
Just as I said during COVID, no one should be panic-buying toilet paper and Clorox, and no one should be doing that now.
