""Operations at SJC are continuing without disruption, so no additional messaging in the terminals is necessary," San Jose Mineta International Airport said in a statement. "In the event of any operational impacts, airport-specific messaging will be used to keep passengers informed and ensure they have a seamless travel experience at SJC.""
Two major Bay Area airports — Oakland and San Jose — are not playing a TSA video in which Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem blames Democrats for the federal government shutdown. The video was intended to play at security lines and includes statements about TSA priorities and employees working without pay. San Jose Mineta International Airport said operations are continuing without disruption and that airport-specific messaging would be used if needed. Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport confirmed the video is not running at OAK and expressed appreciation for TSA employees. Port of Portland declined to play the video citing the Hatch Act.
