Jurors help subdue man who escaped from Maine courthouse

Nicholas Carter, 31, of Fairfield, managed to escape from the Somerset County Courthouse following his conviction for aggravated assault against a child, taking advantage of the chaos in the courtroom.
Courtroom chaos ensued when Carter, handcuffed, jumped a barrier and fled through a rear exit. Despite the pursuit, he managed to elude capture initially until two jurors intervened.
