House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer charged that Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries' campaign solicited money from Jeffrey Epstein, citing a 2013 email from consulting firm Dynamic SRG. The email, subject-lined "Rising Star" and sent by Lisa Rossi, invited Epstein to a Democratic Party fundraising dinner and offered an opportunity to get to know Jeffries. The message described Jeffries as a rising star, "Brooklyn's Barack," and promoted his first-year congressional work with a video and article. The email encouraged participation in a DCCC/DSCC fundraising dinner with President Obama and provided contact details for involvement.
