Jeanine Pirro Stumped When Reporter Asks If Taxpayer Dollars Should Go Toward Trump's Weaponization' Fund
"On X, the House Judiciary Dems announced, 93 House Democrats have filed a motion to block Trump's self-dealing settlement in his sham $10 billion IRS lawsuit, which would create a $1.7 billion slush fund for Jan. 6 rioters and political allies."
The Department of Justice announced a $1.7 billion Anti-Weaponization Fund after President Donald Trump agreed to drop a $10 billion lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service. The fund is intended to provide formal apologies and monetary relief to claimants who submit voluntary claims. There are no partisan requirements to file, and any remaining money will revert to the federal government when the fund ends. The fund will receive $1.776 billion from the judgment fund, a perpetual appropriation used for DOJ settlements and payments. Nearly 100 House Democrats filed an amicus brief opposing the fund, warning it could enable unprecedented corruption. The dispute includes claims that the fund could benefit Jan. 6 rioters and political allies.
