When elected in November 2022, she went from representing roughly 35,000 people as a West Hollywood City Council member to having more than 2 million constituents across a sweeping, 431-square-mile district that sprawls from the Ventura County line down to Santa Monica, east to Hollywood and up through much of the San Fernando Valley."
Lindsey Horvath celebrated at a West Hollywood Pride parade and attended evening Mass at a 121-year-old Catholic parish, illustrating a blend of public queer visibility and personal faith. She is the first millennial member of the county Board of Supervisors and represents a sprawling 431-square-mile district of more than 2 million residents, up from roughly 35,000 as a West Hollywood councilmember. While at Notre Dame she held leadership in the College Republicans chapter, helped found the university's first gay-straight alliance, and faced national opposition for staging "The Vagina Monologues." She worked three jobs to pay off student loans and received backing across the political spectrum during her 2022 campaign.
