Inside Denmark: Why is Denmark increasing military cooperation with the United States?
Briefly

Relations between Denmark and the United States have reached a low point, with Vice President JD Vance visiting Greenland amid military cooperation proposals. His itinerary was altered after criticism from Greenlandic and Danish officials. Initially planned visits to local towns were cancelled due to anticipated protests against the US, leading only to a visit to the Pituffik military base. Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen noted the need for improved understanding of Greenland among US officials, reflecting a significant shift in perceptions of Greenlandic sentiments toward the US.
The visit is quite different to the one originally announced last weekend, in which Usha Vance would have travelled to Nuuk and Sisimiut in Greenland.
If you're being analytical, you have to interpret this as a sign that someone in the US has realised that the narrative about a Greenlandic population standing with open arms and desperate ambitions to become Americans is a false one.
