Officers from the Third Precinct responded to a 911 call for a stabbing on Roosevelt Place at 12:29 a.m. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The 15-year-old male juvenile was arrested at the scene without incident. He has been charged with second-degree murder and was scheduled to be arraigned.
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman stated that the teenager is in the country illegally, amidst concerns over rising numbers of migrants on Long Island.
