Howard Lutnick's Epstein Story Doesn't Make Any Sense
"During a podcast interview this past fall, Lutnick talked about an unsettling encounter he and his wife had with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who used to be his next-door neighbor, in 2005. After Epstein offered them a house tour and showed them his infamous massage table, Lutnick recalled, he was creeped out and left. "My wife and I decided that I will never be in the room with that disgusting person ever again," he said."
""I did have lunch with him, as I was on a boat going across on a family vacation," Lutnick said. "My wife was with me, as were my four children and nannies. I had another couple; they were there as well, with their children. And we had lunch on the island. That is true. For an hour. And we left with all of my children, with my nannies, with my wife.""
Howard Lutnick told a Senate committee he had 'nothing to hide.' During a podcast he described a 2005 encounter with Jeffrey Epstein and said he would never be in the room with Epstein again socially, for business, or philanthropy. Justice Department documents show repeated correspondence and some shared business dealings between Lutnick and Epstein. Lutnick told the New York Times he spent 'zero time' with Epstein, and later told Congress he 'barely had anything to do with that person.' Lutnick admitted he visited Epstein's private island in 2012 and had an hourlong lunch there with his family and others.
