"There are several ways to get at this. Some take longer. Some are shorter. The quickest way, and I think most expeditious way, to get justice for these victims is to bring inherent contempt against Pam Bondi, and that doesn't require going through the courts,"
"Basically Ro Khanna and I are talking about and drafting that right now."
"And this is the corrupt system, the Epstein class that people are sick of. So I believe we're going to get bipartisan support in holding her accountable, and a committee of Congress should determine whether these redactions are justified or not."
Rep. Thomas Massie and Rep. Ro Khanna led passage of the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act, which required all records to be made public by Friday. Only a small fraction of documents have been released so far, many heavily redacted, with more expected in coming weeks. The Justice Department maintains that it is in compliance with the law. Massie and Khanna said they are considering bringing inherent contempt against Pam Bondi and drafting measures to fine her for each day she does not release documents. They said a bipartisan coalition and a congressional committee should assess the redactions. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche responded defiantly to potential legal consequences.
