CNN's Kaitlan Collins Struck By Trump Maybe Blowing Off Son's Wedding: Really Something'
Trump was asked in the Oval Office whether he would attend his eldest son Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding in the Bahamas. He said his son would like him to go, but described the event as a small private affair and said he would try to make it. He cited being in the midst of other matters, including Iran, and said it was not good timing. He said he could not win either way, stating that if he attended he would be criticized and if he did not attend he would also be criticized by the “fake news.” He added that he hoped the couple would have a great marriage. Sources indicated he would not attend.
"REPORTER: Are you attending your son's wedding this weekend, by the way? TRUMP: He'd like me to go, but it's going to be just a small little private affair, and I'm going to try and make it. I'm in the midst I said, you know, this is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things. (LAUGHTER) TRUMP: That's one I can't win on. If I do attend, I get killed.
