Officers caught up to 38-year-old Krishan Sharma, of Hayward, on Tuesday after pursuing him in a patrol vehicle briefly. Police said they arrested him on suspicion of murder and being a convicted felon in possession of a gun.
Detectives identified Sharma as a suspect through video surveillance, interviews with witnesses, and by processing physical evidence at the killing scene. Sharma remained in custody at Santa Rita Jail.
Fremont police have investigated four homicides in 2024, including two that occurred on the same Saturday. The community is urged to provide any relevant information about the incidents.
