Warren Upton, the last survivor of the USS Utah and oldest living survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack, died at age 105 from pneumonia.
Upton vividly remembered the moments of the attack, saying, 'I was getting ready to shave when I felt the first torpedo hit the Utah. No one knew what made the ship shake.'
Reflecting on his experiences, Upton expressed that losing his shipmates over the decades upset him more than recounting the attack itself.
Military historian J. Michael Wenger noted that after Upton's passing, only 15 military personnel remain alive from that fateful day at Pearl Harbor.
