A Virginia man has been charged with second-degree murder after the shooting death of an 18-year-old, Michael Bosworth Jr., who was filming a TikTok prank known as "ding dong ditch". The incident occurred around 3 a.m. when Bosworth and two friends were reportedly ringing doorbells before fleeing. The Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office responded to gunfire and found Bosworth wounded; he later died. The shooter, Tyler Chase Butler, 27, was arrested with additional charges. The prank aims to create comedic videos for social media, but it led to tragic consequences this time.

The group had knocked on a few doors in the area and were running away from a residence when they were shot.
Bosworth was a senior at Massaponax High School.
