Sharpe, 3-time Pro Bowl LT for Cardinals, dies
Briefly

Luis Sharpe, a former NFL left tackle and three-time Pro Bowl selection, died at age 65. He played all 13 seasons for the St. Louis and Arizona Cardinals from 1982 to 1994. His wife, Tameka Williams-Sharpe, announced his passing on social media, expressing deep sorrow and love. Sharpe was born in Havana, Cuba, raised in Detroit, and became a first-round draft pick in 1982 from UCLA. He started all 189 regular-season games with the Cardinals and was named to the Pro Bowl in 1987, 1988, and 1989.
With deep sorrow and abiding love, I share that my beloved husband, Luis Sharpe, has passed away. His strength, love, and faith were a light to all who knew him. I am grateful for every moment we shared and for the many prayers and kindnesses extended to our family.
Though my heart is heavy, I trust that Luis is now resting in God's eternal peace. Please continue to keep our family lifted in prayer.
