Pentagon directs removal of trans service members from military
Briefly

The Pentagon has mandated the separation of service members and recruits diagnosed with gender dysphoria under a new policy following an executive order from President Trump. This directive states that individuals with gender dysphoria are incompatible with military service due to concerns about troop readiness and cohesion. While the policy establishes provisions for case-by-case exceptions, advocacy groups argue that many transgender service members have served effectively and should not be dismissed based solely on their gender identity. SPARTA emphasized the ongoing contributions of transgender individuals in the military despite policy changes.
Thousands of transgender troops are currently serving, and are fully qualified for the positions in which they serve. No policy will ever erase their contribution.
The Department only recognizes two sexes: male and female. An individual's sex is immutable, unchanging during a service member's career.
