Panera Will Discontinue Charged Lemonade Drinks
Briefly

Panera Bread will stop selling its highly caffeinated fruit-flavored drinks, which were the subject of lawsuits by people who said the drinks had caused health problems, including two deaths.
A regular size of the Charged drinks has at least 155 milligrams of caffeine, while the large sizes have at least 233 milligrams, exceeding the daily recommended limit for most healthy adults set at 400 milligrams.
After surveying over 30,000 customers, Panera Bread will remove Charged Lemonade and Charged Sips from their menu, focusing on providing a broader array of beverages, including low-caffeine options.
The Charged Lemonade drinks faced scrutiny after a TikTok video revealed their high caffeine content, resulting in lawsuits alleging these drinks led to deaths and health issues, prompting Panera to discontinue them.
