The Rhumb Line Bar & Restaurant in Gloucester was broken into early Sunday morning between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. The bar was trashed and several bottles of scotch were taken, including a large bottle of Johnnie Walker Black. Owner Frank Shrigley described the scene as a sad day in the neighborhood and offered a $1,000+ reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. The restaurant did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Community members reacted with sympathy and outrage, calling the break-in crazy and pathetic and comparing the Rhumb Line to Gloucester's 'Cheers.'
