A delegation of senators, after visiting Guantanamo Bay, condemned the Trump administration’s migrant relocation efforts as illogical and wasteful. They expressed outrage over the use of the military base for housing migrants, highlighting the lack of preparation and transparency from the administration. Among the 87 detainees, many are considered low risk, raising questions about their detention at such a controversial facility. The senators called for an immediate halt to this operation, emphasizing the need for a more sensible approach to immigration and deportation.
After examining the migrant relocation activities at Guantanamo Bay, we are outraged by the scale and wastefulness of the Trump Administration's misuse of our military. It is obvious that Guantanamo Bay is a likely illegal and certainly illogical location to detain immigrants.
The administration didn't properly prepare for the operation and that the cost to taxpayers is enormous. It was sort of a ready-fire-aim approach to this whole thing.
We asked repeatedly, you mean to tell us that this could not be done anywhere else in the U.S.? It defies logic and sensibility.
