Kia recalls nearly 463,000 Telluride SUVs due to fire risk
Briefly

Kia America is recalling nearly 463,000 Telluride SUVs due to a fire hazard issue with the front power seat motor. The issue is caused by a stuck slide knob that may lead to overheating and potentially result in a fire, whether when the car is parked or being driven.
No related injuries, crashes, or fatalities have been reported, but there have been incidents of localized melting in the seat tilt motor. Kia will fix the problem by installing a bracket for the power seat switch back covers and replacing the seat slide knobs at no cost to owners.
