Keurig to pay $1.5M settlement over statements on the recyclability of its K-Cup drink pods
Briefly

Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. has agreed to pay $1.5 million to the SEC for inaccurately claiming the recyclability of its K-Cup pods, despite concerns from major recycling companies.
The SEC highlighted that while Keurig claimed K-Cup pods could be recycled, it failed to inform that major recycling firms had doubts about curbside recycling feasibility.
Keurig stated, ''Our K-Cup pods are made from recyclable polypropylene plastic, which is widely accepted in curbside recycling systems across North America''.
Keurig Dr Pepper expressed commitment to enhancing the U.S. recycling system, stating, ''We remain committed to a better, more standardized U.S. recycling system for all packaging materials''.
