Florida recreational marijuana measure falls short
Briefly

A ballot question that would have legalized recreational use of marijuana in Florida failed to clear the necessary 60% threshold to pass, according to The Associated Press.
Supporters funneled more than $100 million campaigning for the legalization of recreational marijuana in Florida, which is the most spent on a ballot question in U.S. history.
The policy proposed to allow the state's medical marijuana growers and retailers to sell to consumers, however, it faced opposition from Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Before this year's elections, 24 states and the District of Columbia had legalized marijuana for recreational use, but Florida's attempt fell short.
