Adam Montgomery, 32, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and related felonies including abuse of a corpse, falsifying physical evidence and tampering with witnesses. Investigators allege Montgomery beat his 5-year-old daughter Harmony to death on or about December 7, 2019, in Manchester. The child was last seen in November or December 2019, but investigators did not begin searching until November 2021 after the mother said she had been trying to find the child. An August 2022 determination concluded Harmony's body had been destroyed or hidden. The arrest affidavit details prior abuse and mistreatment.
