The compromised account, which has 650,000 followers, shared threats and profanities over the weekend, leading Sesame Workshop to respond quickly. Although the offensive tweets were deleted shortly after, a link to a Telegram channel, attributed to the hacker, remains on the account. Previously, Elmo’s social media presence focused on mental health awareness conversations, engaging many followers with supportive messages.
