Bullet Hits Southwest Plane at Dallas Love Field Airport

A bullet struck a Southwest Airlines jet as it was preparing to take off from Dallas Love Field, leading to a temporary runway closure for investigation.
The incident took place on a Boeing 737, which was hit near the cockpit. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, and the aircraft returned safely.
Dallas Love Field airport reported a security incident that occurred around 9:50 p.m., prompting a response from the city’s police and fire departments.
As a result of the bullet strike, the affected airplane was taken out of service and replaced for the intended Flight 2494 to Indianapolis.
