A day after raping woman, Doral man attacked a motel housekeeper, police say
Briefly

Daysnel Hernandez, 41, faces several charges including attempted murder, sexual battery, and kidnapping after allegedly assaulting two women in Doral. On Thursday night, he reportedly kidnapped and raped a 28-year-old woman in a parking lot, hitting her with a rock and threatening her with a screwdriver. The following day, he attacked a motel housekeeper with a sharp tool, telling her to be quiet or he would kill her. Hernandez fled after the housekeeper screamed for help, and security footage later captured him leaving the scene in a van.
Around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Doral police say a 28-year-old woman got out of her car at a parking lot at 777 Northwest 72nd Avenue when Hernandez hit her on the back of the head with a large rock, covered her mouth and dragged her to a secluded area while holding a screwdriver to her neck before raping her.
The next day, around 11:30 a.m., a housekeeper at the Doral Inn and Suites, entered a room to clean it and then found a man, who police say is Hernandez, holding a sharp tool.
Hernandez then attacked the woman with the tool, piercing her forehead and bruising her face, according to investigators.
Detectives watched security camera footage that showed Hernandez arrive in a white Chevrolet van with Danny's Mobile Car Wash written on the side.
