Mr. Trump appeared to blindside Republican lawmakers by promising over the weekend to revive the repeal-and-replace push if he is elected president in 2024.
Mr. Trump said getting "much better Healthcare than Obamacare for the American people will be a priority of the Trump Administration."
Democrats are making hay with Mr. Trump's pronouncements. The GOP's failure to scrap Obamacare in 2017 led to liberal wins in the following midterm election cycle.
