"I was on the struggle bus. It was not a good situation," Harris tells TODAY.com. She reflects on her difficult circumstances as a newly sober single mom living with limited resources.
Harris fell instantly in love with the Moyers. And the feeling was mutual. Kelly quickly became a big sister figure to Harris, showing an unwavering support throughout the adoption process.
"Kelly would always say, 'Jess, we love you. If you decide to keep your baby, that makes us happy, because we want you to be happy,'" highlighting the Moyers’ genuine support for Harris’s choices.
"I felt the Lord shining his light on this family," Harris shares, expressing her strong connection to the Moyers during her decision-making process regarding her daughter's adoption.
