The police have declared that threatening phone calls received by Sir David Amess's son prior to the MP's murder were not linked to the tragic attack.
Katherine Amess questioned the police's decision to not provide protection after her brother reported a threat about their father's life on the night before his murder.
Katherine Amess believes a full investigation is necessary to determine why police failed to act on threats, stating, "Just one threat should be enough for you to go and protect somebody."
Essex police's statement clarified that threats made against a man prior to Sir David's murder were investigated, and the individuals involved were known to each other and unrelated to the suspect.
