MPs are concerned that the government is not taking alcohol harm seriously enough following an increase in deaths.The public accounts committee (PAC) is calling on the government to address the barriers to accessing treatment.In 2021 there was the highest number of alcohol deaths on record and alcohol is linked to 42% of violent crime.
