Early on Sunday morning, Kyiv faced a missile attack by Russia, resulting in injuries to at least three people. Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the ongoing missile assault on Kyiv via Telegram, stressing that air defense was operational while advising residents to seek shelter. Concurrently, the Chernihiv region also experienced missile incursions. Reports indicated that Mykolaiv suffered drone attacks leading to damages in residential buildings. President Zelenskyy criticized the lack of robust international response, particularly from the US, following a prior attack in his hometown that resulted in loss of life.

The Ukrainian air force said missiles had also entered the Chernihiv region in the north.
Ukrainian President Volodymyrr Zelenskyy urged the world not to stay silent after his hometown Kryvyi Rih was attacked, killing 18.
He said the response from the US was "surprisingly disappointing."
